Club 40 = Awesome!!!

Julie's 40th birthday party at the San Diego Marriott Del Mar was amazing! The dance floor was packed, the music sounded amazing & the lighting & music videos looked top notch!  Julie also ordered a custom dance floor with her "Club 40" logo imprinted on it, as well as a ton of lounge furniture from Lounge AppealSan Diego DJ David Cutler with Hit It Music Productions provided 16 Hot Pink Up Lights, Music Videos on one of our 50" Flat Pannel TV's, Upgraded Sound & Lighting and a Custom Monogram Spotlight.

How to decide where your monogram should be projected

So there are many different factors that you need to constder when trying to find the perfect location for your monogram.

1.  Do your venue have an area in the room that you can project on like an open wall?
2. If the venue does not have an open wall, will the monogram look good on the dance floor?
3. Does your cocktail hour area, or foyer next to your room have a unique place to projecto the monogram.

Here are some pros for having your monogram projected on the dance floor:
1. On the dance floor, the monogram is very easy for all of your guest to see
2. The monogram will look amazing on the dance floor in your first dance photos
3.  All of your guest will see it when they enter the room

Here are a few cons for the monogram being projected on the dance floor:

Popular 2012 Dates Are Filling Up Fast!

If you haven't booked your San Diego Wedding DJ yet, now is the time! Wedding season is right around the corner and many popular dates are filling up fast. During the holiday season, December in particular, client inquiries, meetings, and bookings surged. There were several local couples that I met with, as well as multiple destination brides and grooms that visited during the Christmas break. Many of the couples chose the "Ultimate Wedding Package", which includes Ceremony & Reception sound systems, as well as wireless speakers for cocktail hour, Up Lighting, & dance floor lighting. Another popular enhancement that people chose was the personal monogram package. Having a custom monogram is a classy and elegant way to enhance your San Diego Wedding.

My Favorite Summer time video ever!!!

Happy summer everyone!  Ever since this song came out in 1991, I have been in love with with it!  Being a San Diego DJ, I have had the opportunity to play some of my favorite songs at weddings, private events and night clubs. This is one of them:)  Enjoy!!!

The amazing sound of my new JBL PRX 615 Speakers

I have been using my JBL PRX 615 speakers on a regular basis for about the last 4 months. Previous to purchasing them, I was in love with my QSC HPR 122 speakers. I used to take them to every event, but now there is a new kid on the block. The JBL's are twice as powerful, & 15 lbs lighter. I found myself take the PRX's to smaller events even though they are the bigger speaker (technically). The sound from both of the speakers are awesome, but since the JBL's have a 15" woofer, instead of the QSC 12" woofer, the JBL's offer a very full, and rich sound. Here is a picture from a wedding I did in May. Aren't they pretty:)

San Diego Wedding DJ Review on Wedding Wire

This review was left on the weddingwire.com website by my clients from my May 7th. 2011 wedding @ Twin Oaks Garden Estates.  This wedding was so much fun!  The dancing portion of the song list was mainly 80's selections.  That was the perfect genre for the night!  The crowed LOVED every second of it!!!!

Review:

We were really worried about getting the RIGHT DJ for our wedding - from my experience, a bad/cheesy DJ can really put a damper on the night, no matter how happy the couple is! So we were very happy to find David. He listened to what we wanted, took our music suggestions, kept the "banter" (which can so often go off course) to an absolute minimum, and made all our guests happy.

How to decide on a San Diego Wedding DJ

The job of the San Diego Wedding DJ is simply not only about the music. The job of a good Wedding DJ is all about getting involved in music that continuously improves the atmosphere of the event while keeping people of all ages captivated. An excellent DJ needs to be competent enough to look at all request, and mix them effortlessly into the event.

So where do you find your perfect San Diego Wedding DJ? Effectively, the very first step to do would be to search online. I also recommend asking your friends, listening to other wedding DJ's and reading online reviews. The next step would be to narrow down the list and make contact with a handful. Have a list of questions that are important to you ready.

Determining which Wedding DJ to make use of always carries some risks.

Choosing the First Dance Song for your Wedding

There are several important factors when choosing a first dance song.  First, make sure that you and your fiance are on the same page with the type of music that you would like for your first dance.  Next, make sure you choose a song that is the at the appropriate pace for you and your fiance.  Finally, length.  Make sure you choose a song that is not too long.  3 minutes and below is the perfect amount of time.
